World of Warcraft lead Ion announced the WoW: Shadowlands expansion with an incredible new cinematic trailer at BlizzCon 2019. The lengthly cinematic continues the story established in BfA and focuses on World of Warcraft lore. It depicts an encounter between Sylvanas, who has traveled to Icecrown, and the current Lich King, Bolvar. Sylvanas arrives at Icecrown in pursuit of something much more nefarious than just claiming the throne for herself though. The trailer’s twist ending sparked a ton of debate on the internet and in the WoW commun
There has been no official word from Microsoft on their reason for not making mention of the title, despite the knowledge all over that it is indeed in the works. But what we can deduce for now is that they simply weren’t ready.
Microsoft still stole the show with its briefing, though. The Halo and Gears announcements were well received, among others, but none as much as the upcoming console now going by the name Project Scarlett.
Considering that Xbox currently can’t boast many big-name exclusives that really sell what its next-generation venture is all about, it makes sense for the company to go all out on Fable 4 and show it before the launch of its newest console. That’s not to say the game should be rushed to be a launch title for the Series X; nobody wants the game to not reach its potential purely for the sake of creating hype for the Serie

An easy contender for Microsoft’s biggest game for 2020, Halo: Infinite , returned to E3 this past summer and received a featured spot at the very end of its annual press conference. The new cinematic footage was more story-centric than the prior year’s atmospheric tease and revealed an unnamed UNSC pilot discovering Master Chief floating in space. After reviving the iconic hero, a mysterious yellow lightning strikes the USNC Pelican, prompting Master Chief to grab a gun and jump out of the ship. For fans wanting more, Microsoft is essentially putting Halo Infinite back on ice until E3 2020 ahead of its holiday 2020 launch on Project Scarlett. Originally due for release this past March, The Sinking City was delayed to June 27. This gave the game one last opportunity to be shown off at E3, where it made an appearance during the Kinda Funny Games Showcase. The Sinking City looks to blend detective gameplay as seen in the Sherlock Holmes series with Lovecraftian horror, which is a concept that seems to have plenty of potential. When I say this game aspires to be Paper Mario , I’m not talking about a few little touches here and there. From the second you load up Bug Fables, you will know that this is a Paper Mario game in practically every way except the name. Each character is a flat 2D model with big fat black outlines walking around a 3D world. The art style looks simplistic, as if it was drawn by a crayon-wielding kindergarten class, yet it’s bursting with life and personality.
