Bug Fables is weaponized nostalgia. Moonsprout Games set out to make a game that would bring you back to the mid-90s and early-2000s, and if you played RPGs back on the SNES or N64, then this is going to unleash all the tingly feelings of your childhood stored at the back of your br
Aside from minor nitpicks, I found myself smiling from ear to ear playing Bug Fables . Yes, it is definitely coasting on a major wave of nostalgia, but it feels fantastic. It absolutely nails the combat, the visual style, and the general tone and vibe of the Paper Mario games. It’s a little awkward in places, but that honestly didn’t stop me from enjoying this game immens
With several hack-n-slash games available, beat-em-up style combat is not utilized enough in modern gaming. Despite being a staple of the Yakuza series for so many years, the developers opted for a turn-based combat system in Like a Dragon. Thankfully, another classic Sega franchise can offer a solid alternat
Bug Fables is pretty solid in every aspect, but I will admit to some mild frustration due to the game’s dedication to being a Paper Mario tribute act. As a result of the flat style, sometimes the platforming and puzzle sections were a little awkward. Lining up certain jumps could be hard to gauge as the shadows under the characters were too light to reliably determine where I was going to land. This problem could be exacerbated if I was trying to go toward or away from the screen as the ground might not be fully visible due to the camera’s position. The side view of the game could also be a hindrance to solving puzzles as it would be hard to properly aim abilities like Vi’s Beemerang, which made some puzzles more annoying than they should have b
Not even the most avid fans could defend it. Not only did it signal an end to the franchise for the foreseeable future, but it was also the beginning of the studio’s descent into mediocrity. We’re hoping with all out hearts for BioWare to get back on their f
Meet Destroy All Humans , a adventure game news that revolves around controlling an alien and blowing everything to smithereens. Buildings, people, cows, nothing is safe from Crypto. There is a story in each game, but it takes a backseat compared to the ludicrous amounts of fun the game lets you have. You can fling humans to walls, blow up skyscrapers, and use your flying saucer to take out armies of soldiers. The game doesn’t take itself too seriously, which helps with the fun factor. There is a remake for the original title that should release this year, so hopefully, that will generate enough interest to get this series back on people’s radars.
Fans had probably given up on the Fable series and that was probably fair as it did seem dead. In the run-up to E3, though, rumors began swirling, with Fable 4 being talked up as leaks emerged. Naturally, there was an expectation, especially with the Microsoft crew informing us beforehand that they would have lots in store at the event. They were certainly telling the truth about that, but we imagine lots of Fable fans were let down by the complete blank.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 barely counts as an open-world game. Though players are technically free to explore a portion of New York City as the wall-crawler, missions are all linear and repetitive, and the whole thing wraps up somewhere after the six-hour mark, and that’s taking into account some seriously boring padded sequences and the atrocious Peter Parker investigation segme

With Dying Light 2 right around the corner, it’s only a given that more and more people would want to get into the first game in the series. Players who choose to do so are making a great decision, since Dying Light is one of the most innovative open-world games around. This title combines parkour and zombie killing into one cohesive pack
All of these details came up in a video that showed up on Reddit. Microsoft did not want any of us seeing it, so it was promptly removed but not before mirrors went up on Streamable (those were also taken down, by the way).
Thematically, Devil May Cry has little in common with the Yakuza series. However, where the original Yakuza fighting system is like a throwback to classic Japanese 80s and 90s beat-em-ups, DMCV harks back to the hack-and-slash classics like Golden Axe in a single-player for

The Arkham series started off on a strong note with Batman: Arkham Asylum . This game toyed with the idea of an open-world formula, before its sequel ended up going all out with this conc
His grand comeback came in 2017 in the form of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy , complete remakes of the original three masterpieces. Except for the radical facelift, everything else remained nearly identical to the originals. The Crash train shows no signs of slowing down now, with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled coming out to rave revi
