Not having a dental check-up for a few years can severely affect the health of your teeth, not to result in underlying problems going unnoticed and left to worsen for an unsuitable length of time. At Kirby Dental, our dentist in Teddington recommends that you see one of our practitioners for a check-up at least twice a year. You can arrange a consultation appointment by calling us over the phone or by visiting our website. If you have any queries about treatments then one of our dental team will be more than happy to help in whatever way that they can.
These days there are so many things that people want to change about their smile, from making it whiter to straightening it and disguising any imperfections they deem it has. If you are unsure about what treatments will help you feel better about your smile, you can explain what you do not like about it to our dentist in and they will be able to recommend treatments to you. can help to brighten your teeth by several shades and can reduce the appearance of unwanted stains as well. If you have chipped a tooth and feel insecure when you smile then you may want to think about having . These are made of porcelain, made to look and feel like your original teeth, but attach to the surfaces of your teeth to give them an overall more even appearance. You can have one veneer or a set, depending on your needs. Crooked teeth can cause dental complications later in life as well as insecurities when smiling, but it is easy to align even the severest of misalignment issues with straightening appliances. Whilst some appliances are only suitable for minor misalignment issues, like Invisalign, a majority of other can be used for more complex cases.
At our dentist in Teddington we understand how important it is that you get the dental care you need in an . That’s why we offer priority appointments for anyone who has been involved in an accident and has knocked out their tooth or even just chipped it. We also advise you to contact our as soon as possible if you are suffering from severe tooth pain that has appeared suddenly, swelling or abscesses, severe wisdom tooth pain or broken and fillings. Contacting us sooner rather than later will not only ensure that you get an appointment quicker, but it will also prevent further damage from taking place which could then result in the need for more complicated treatment.
If you have out your tooth or chipped a piece off but have managed to find it, the sooner you get dental treatment the higher the chances are of reattaching your tooth. Whilst you are waiting for your appointment we suggest that you keep your tooth in your own saliva or if you have any to hand, milk. This will keep it clean and free from bacteria until it is time for your appointment.
