This is where that outrage comes back into play. I don’t want it to be expressed with death threats to developers , or in the whiny caricature of gamers we see snapping video game discs while frothing at the mouth to stick it to the man. There has also been a huge anti-journalist culture that the Cyberpunk fanbase has leaned into – for obvious reasons, I think we should avoid that too. I don’t want to encourage people to get more angry about this game that in truth has never come close to delivering on its potential even months later, but we should not stand for Sony selling us a game on PS4 while telling us not to play it on a PS4. It’s ludicr
Lastly, this is another one of those “capstone” Perks that aren’t really worth the investment. To unlock this, players have to get their crafting skills all the way to 20 , and that takes an absurd amount of craft
This next one is by far Cyberpunk 2077’s best Perk for quality-of-life improvements . By default, if V disassembles a gun with mods on, those mods get destroyed along with the gun, and there’s no way for them to take these mods off. Sure, V can craft them, but, with Waste Not Want Not, V gets those mods b
Cutting Edge might seem like a minimal buff, but read closer. Not only does this Perk improve the base damage of crafted weapons by 5%, but it also increases all damage-related stats by 5%, which affects more than you might thi
To be fair, the open-world in the game is seemingly never-ending, but it is procedurally generated and boring compared to the promises that were made. Upon its release, critics were referring to the game as a “boredom simulat
If that wasn’t enough, the D5 Sidewinder is also the base weapon for the iconic Divided We Stand weapon, which includes an automatic targeting system that can target up to five enemies at once. Bullets from Divided We Stand also deal chemical damage and have a high chance of poisoning enem
Silicon Dreams tackles some big philosophical questions and does so with a deft hand. The dialogue between yourself and the androids you interrogate is well written – save for some spelling errors here and there – and has quite a few twists and turns along the way. Each android has a unique personality that makes you feel conflicted about what to do with them. They all act like real people even though they’ve completely synthetic. Kronos will give you mission briefings that often have some rather cold-hearted requirements such as deleting their memories or melting androids down for scrap. You’ll find yourself forced to put an android to death because they’ve been watching too many movies or they have a faulty arm joint. By the end of the game, I was feeling pretty damn gui
The game was a buggy mess, and in the first week of its release, FO76 had two updates larger than the game itself . And that wasn’t even the worst part. Fans spent top dollar on the Power Armor Editions, which were supposed to come with a burlap backpack, but what fans got instead was a flimsy bag made out of Teflon that barely held toget
At first, many players thought the crafting Perk build in Cyberpunk 2077 was vastly underpowered. But, as people discovered the inner mechanics, how exploitable it was, and all the ways the system is unbalanced in V’s favor, that opinion started to change and players began to realize just how “worth it” crafting is. There are a lot of ways to stack V’s bui
Another thing that makes the M-179 Achilles desirable is that it’s the base weapon for the iconic Widow Maker weapon, which is one of the best sniper rifles in the game. It can also fire projectile shots, as well as charged shots that deal extra dam
Outrage is pretty common in gaming, and it feels wrong to be encouraging it, especially around a game as toxic as Cyberpunk 2077. For the record, I don’t care for the game. While it would have been fascinating to see how the game itself and the discourse around it would have been different if it came out bug free, it still would have had its issues. Bugs or no, Cyberpunk 2077 Strategy 2077 is a game with a very binary perspective on gender that trades on a mostly superficial view of trans people , a horribly misogynistic view of women and sex workers , fridges one of its strongest female characters, and contained a (now patched out) racist m
The Nazare is one of the coolest, though also one of the most expensive motorcycles found in Night City. With a price of $138,000 before the 2.0 update, the Nazare also comes with the requirement that players be at least Street Cred level 27 before purchasing it. The price was slashed virtually in half with the 2.0 release, at le
There was a lot to be upset about when it came to 2015’s Battlefront , EA’s remake of the beloved original game from 10 years beforehand, as many felt that it was essentially a $60 arcade shooter with little variety in gamep
The facts are very simple – this is a PS4 game we’re being told not to play on the PS4. Scratch that, it’s a triple-A PS4 game with a huge hype cycle and massive marketing campaign that we’re being told not to play on PS4. You can still buy it, of course. I don’t know if the PS Store can detect the difference between a PS4 and a PS4 Pro, but putting out a tweet essentially saying “you can buy this, but don’t,” is horrifically anti-consumer. There are definitely players who are going to buy this on their regular PS4s – PS5s are notoriously hard to get and for literally every other game, the standard PS4 works. I know, I had the base version of the console last gen and had zero issues with its performance aside from it running a little loud. These players will be buying it because if they want to play Cyberpunk 2077, they have no other options, and they might not have even seen the tweet telling them not to. It’s reasonable for a player to assume that if a game is available to buy on the PS4, it will work on the PS4. We should be outraged that CDPR and Sony are selling these folk an unplayable experie
